After
having explored the complicate world of women (if you have not read our
previous article yet click here), the third and last article of our Calzitaly
Style Week is thoroughly dedicated to the male world, with style tips for any
type of man.

FOR HIM: DARE WITH STYLE
It is said
that men are simpler than women, but combining socks to an outfit is not so
simple as it is thought to be: some little tricks are necessary, above all if
you choose to wear patterned socks.
The blog
Thethref claims that you men have endless choices to style your feet, from
tone-on-tone to patterned socks, with which you have to ironically play with
style.
As we did in
the previous article, we have selected some outfits according to the type of
man we want to show.
THE MAN WITHOUT SOCKS
There are
men who prefer to show bare leg, even if fashion experts do not recommend it
for formal occasions.
If they do
not want to wear socks they could choose invisible shoe liners, worn with shoes
or loafers.

On the
contrary, there are men who cannot renounce socks and have a wide range of
choices in front of them, which they have to style according to the occasion
and the outfit.
THE SPORTSMAN
If you are
jeans-aholic and your look is more casual, you have many possibilities at hand,
for example spotty colourful socks, worn with jeans and a plain or patterned
t-shirt.
In this latter case you should be careful about the pattern you wear:
we do not recommend polka dots with a striped t-shirt, but a pattern which
recalls the colour of the socks.
THE ELEGANT MAN
RealMenStyle |
If, for
working purposes or personal tastes, you often wear suits, you have to be
careful not only about the pattern, but also the colour and material.
Usually liner
or ankle socks should not be worn with elegant suits, because showing bare legs
is not considered an appropriate choice. Socks should be half-calf or knee-highand made with light or mercerised cotton.
Rules are
not so strict about the socks colour, what Is important is that it has to give
an “harmonious contrast”. Plain colour is easier to match, you should be
careful about shoes and suit colours.
Recommended
Match: brown shoes with grey socks and light grey suit, or dark blue socks with
grey suit.

If you want
to dare, instead, do it with style!
Colourful
or patterned socks should match the colour or pattern of what you are wearing.
Here for example striped socks are combined with two suits, the blue and light
blue of the socks matches perfectly the tie and shirt colour.

These years
wearing colourful and patterned socks is becoming more and more fashionable,
but fashion experts do not recommend that you should wear them for very formal
occasions.
We think instead that… a bit of happiness and transgression have
never hurt anybody 😉
